children and young people
Mental health in children and young people is a growing problem in society and an area we are passionate about. We have extensive experience and want to continue to contribute to improving the well-being of children and young people.
We offer private psychotherapy for children and adolescents:
Guardians are always involved in the treatment. Our work is based on evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) methods for each specific issue. CBT for children and adolescents is based on the same basic principles as CBT for adults. Sometimes the best way to achieve change is to work solely through parents, in which case the treatment is called parental support.
CBT is a structured, goal-oriented form of treatment with skills training, homework and continuous follow-up. The emphasis in the therapy is on the interaction between the individual and the current environment. CBT therapy requires an active collaboration between therapist and client, but adjustments are always made based on the specific developmental level of the child/youth. The length of a CBT therapy session varies depending on the individual and the problem, but in general, major changes can be achieved with 10-20 conversations, but sometimes fewer are needed while other times perhaps a few more.

Does your child have an ADHD diagnosis and feel that you need more support to make the actual behavioral changes that are often needed to be made. Do you as a parent feel that you need further guidance and help to understand? Do you want to have more effective interactions? Does your child need help to manage strong emotions? Today, we often see that after a completed investigation, many people still have a great need for support and treatment. The investigation itself or medication will not create the possible behavioral changes or adjustments in the environment needed to create a more functional everyday life.
We offer treatment interventions that include psychoeducation (better understanding of the current disability and strategies for coping with everyday life), cognitive support, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on changing behaviors, thoughts and feelings. Adolescents and adults with ADHD can receive CBT to, for example, better manage emotions and impulses. For autism, the main focus is on treating anxiety disorders and similar problems, which are often a consequence of the disability. Social skills training can help children with ADHD or autism understand social interactions and improve their social skills.
Cancellation at least 24 hours before the visit, thereafter the price of the full session is payable.
